CASE STUDY
How Stormbreaker delivered a standout annual meeting that turned attendees into advocates
THE CHALLENGE
Stormbreaker Ventures is an early-stage venture capital firm founded in 2019. In 2024, they held their first annual general meeting (AGM) to bring together their LPs and showcase the firm's portfolio and investment thesis.
As the partners began planning their second AGM in 2025, they wanted to elevate the experience. Stormbreaker needed more than logistical support. They needed structure, proactive management, and a partner who understood what makes a VC event successful.
Stormbreaker had previously worked with Strut on a smaller event and knew the team could deliver. Building on that success, they engaged Strut's events service line to manage full AGM planning and execution.
When it came time to begin planning the AGM, we explored doing it in-house and quickly realized it wasn't feasible given the time constraints on our team. We needed help to execute at the level we wanted, and that's what led us to Strut.

The Outcome
IMPACT & VALUE
The AGM exceeded expectations. Stormbreaker successfully showcased its portfolio founders and its brand new headquarters, delivered polished presentations, and created an experience that resonated with key stakeholders. Today, Strut continues to support Stormbreaker through its events and operations service lines.
Multiple attendees approached the Stormbreaker team to express their enthusiasm about the firm and take action: existing LPs asked to increase their commitments, sponsors inquired about investing their own capital, and friends of the firm expressed interest in joining Stormbreaker's next chapter.
Strut was proactive, not reactive. With a lot of vendors, we need to poke and prod them along. With Strut, they were the ones pushing us on deadlines and decisions. That's really helpful because we already have our plates full. The fact that they make our lives easier versus needing to be managed is invaluable.
