Investor Relations Associate

What We’re Looking For

Position Overview

The Investor Relations Associate will support the Investor Relations Manager and Director of Investor Relations at Strut Consulting in delivering high-quality service to our venture capital clients. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and motivated to build a strong foundation in venture capital investor relations. The Associate will focus on data management, task execution, process organization, and preparation of key investor materials. They will work across multiple clients, ensuring accurate tracking of investor information, clean systems, and seamless operational support.

Investor Relations Support & Data Accuracy

  • Maintain up-to-date and highly accurate CRM records (e.g., Affinity), tracking LP interactions, contact details, commitments, and fundraising pipelines.

  • Organize and maintain clients’ investor files, data rooms, and document libraries.

  • Support the preparation of investor-facing materials, including quarterly reports, fundraising decks, and due diligence documents.

  • Assist in responding to LP inquiries with accuracy, professionalism, and timely follow-up.

  • Prepare summaries of LP meetings and touchpoints to support relationship-building activities.

Fundraising & Marketing Support

  • Assist in building and updating fundraising materials and due diligence deliverables.

  • Conduct research on prospective LPs and track outreach lists and fundraising progress.

  • Support logistics and preparation for conferences, events, and LP meetings.

  • Help ensure smooth fundraising closes by collecting, tracking, and organizing LP documentation and onboarding materials.

Operational Excellence & Process Management

  • Keep all client IR systems, trackers, and databases well-organized, accurate, and consistently updated.

  • Document IR team processes and help maintain the internal playbook for consistency and efficiency.

  • Manage workflow tasks such as version control, link management, and ensuring client materials are polished and complete.

  • Assist with compliance-related support, including updating DDQ libraries, fund information summaries, and recurring reporting templates.

  • Coordinate with third-party vendors such as fund administrators, auditors, legal, and other external partners.

  • Assist in documenting the IR team’s processes to support future team growth and scaling. Provide recommendations for process adjustments to increase efficiency.

Content & Communications Support

  • Draft and edit client updates, investor notes, and data summaries with a focus on clarity and accuracy.

  • Assist in maintaining Strut’s template library by organizing, updating, and standardizing materials used across clients.

  • Support the IR Manager in developing research-driven content and foundational thought leadership materials.

Qualifications & Attributes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Communications, or a related field.

  • 1-2 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, financial services, or a client service-oriented role preferred.

  • Strong proficiency in Google Workspace (Slides, Sheets, Docs) is a must; experience with CRMs (Affinity, Attio, Hubspot, etc.), investor databases (Pitchbook, Prequin, etc.), and closing tools (Vanilla, Passthrough, etc.) is a plus.

  • Excellent organizational skills and acute attention to detail are a must.

  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to organize information cleanly and concisely.

  • Comfort working with data, spreadsheets, and structured tracking systems.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks across clients and deliver on deadlines in a fast-paced consulting environment.
